Laissez-faire: A system whereby a government chooses to administer little if not no regulation in the country's economy, thus leaving it to businesses to do as they please and be in control of how the economy around them is shaped.
Keelage: Fare paid or to pay for a ship docking or docked in a port... sort of like a parking ticket fare.
Jetsam: Items from a ship that have been deliberately abandoned in the sea. Not to be confused with Flotsam, which is usually the term for parts of a wreckage or indelibrately abandoned items.
Irrevocable Coporate Purchase Order: An order for goods that is made out on paper containing a letterhead of the company from which the goods are being brought. The ICPO requires the buyer to fill out what is being brought from the company, the quantity of items being ordered, the name and address of the purchaser as well as the deliveree along with other beaurocratic checkboxes.
Hallmark: An impression on an object that identifies the year of production and the company who made it; in the instance of metal, a hallmark defines an artifact's quality, also.
Gang: A group of longhorsemen assigned to load or unload a portion of a vessel (Maritime)
Facilitation: Programs that allow international comerce to flow.
Easement: A right to use another person's property.
Delivered at Frontier (DAF): The term used for a successful delivery of goods, after being cleared and dispatched, to the point of the company's boundary. The goods are then en-route to their final destination.
Cabotage: Transportation within one nation on land or on water, remaining within the nation's boundaries.
